First Lutheran Church exists to spread the good news of Jesus Christ, as our crucified and risen Savior, to the ends of the earth. The members of First Lutheran gather to hear the good news on Sundays and to receive the blessings of faith, hope and forgiveness, through God's Word and the Sacraments of Baptism and Holy Communion.

The function of the Elders at First Lutheran Church is as St. Paul wrote in 1 Timothy 5:17, "The Elders who direct the affairs of the church." They are to rebuke sin, pursue righteousness, be an aid to the Pastor, and share in the family joys and sorrows of our members. They include the members and Pastor in their prayers and try to lead upright lives.

The Lutheran Church Women of First Lutheran Church support the mission of First Lutheran Church by taking care of various duties such as Altar Guild, organizing efforts to help those in need, providing meals at church after funerals for families, organizing Advent and Lenten Suppers and a whole lot more. The LCW is a part of the Lutheran Women's Missionary League of the LCMS.

Our Senior Youth Group is providing our community with awareness for the Word of God through this website. Our Junior Youth Group is studying the Word of God through their confirmation classes and are providing video ministry to our shut-ins.

One Way Preschool provides a wonderful education opportunity for preschoolers within the congregation and the community. The goal of our preschool is not just to educate little ones, but also to bring the good news of Jesus to many who may not have heard it before.
